About Andres M.


Andres is a Saxophonist/ Woodwind instrumentalist who has been performing and teaching in NYC for over 10 years. Originally from Miami FL, Andres got his bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. Upon graduating, he became active in the NYC Jazz scene, performing in venues such as Cellar Dog, Smalls, The Iridium, The Bitter End, Joe’s Pub, among others.

After college Andres also began establishing himself as an educator, teaching Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, and Piano to students of all ages. While teaching he goes out of his way to make lessons engaging and tailored specifically to each student’s level and learning style. He strives to teach his students the fundamentals of music: reading, theory, and technique, while at the same time learning exciting repertoire and having fun with improvisation. His ultimate goal is to instill a love of music within all his students.
